The comodifying factor you speak about is just a biproduct of capitalism. Any revolutionary idea gets repacked and sold to you at the price of complacency. Lgbtq is not the only idea subjected to commodification look at Punk, Rock, Heavy Metal these are all ideas that were original and in some cases are against the status quo but have then be repacked as “trending” and hence forth it loses its revolutionary meaning
