Finally I’m seeing more people willing to talk about this. If you want to have pets that’s your business but don’t expect everybody to like animal fur and smell all over us. Plus, they’re animals, not humans. The humanization of animals has gone out of control.

I agree! A lot of pet owners are very selfish and they feel like everyone should like their pets, especially dog owners. Just like I respect the fact that you want a dog respect mine for not owning one. Be a responsible pet owner.

Finally, someone said it. Cause I'm so scared of fur babies especially dogs and cats. I just don't want them around me and for a moment I thought that made me abnormal. I literally scream out of fear and my friends know that I'm sincerely scared of them

I understand that manners and etiquette are a problem in Korea. Also if it’s for health reasons ok. If it’s due to past experiences, fine. Otherwise, being generally advert to animals, I find there’s something deeper and to be worked on in the human–animal mirror.

I truly understand that not everyone feels comfortable around animals and that’s perfectly valid. But for many of us, especially families, a dog brings something deeply meaningful into everyday life. They remind us of patience, loyalty, and unconditional love things we sometimes forget to practice with one another. For children, growing up with a dog often means learning empathy, care, and emotional awareness in the most natural way. It’s not about pretending they’re human, but about appreciating the way they quietly make us better ones.
