The virus is weakening? No, if the virus is spreading it is not weakening. It's effects may appear to affect people less severely but that may make it More transmissible.

YES! I’ve had it 3 weeks and now it’s turned into bronchitis and pneumonia! I’m so sick of snot. Tested negative for flu/covid/rsv. I’m so over it and now my 13 month old has HFM. 😩

Yuuuuup. Two out of my three kids just had it and now our neighbors have it. Never had any fevers. Just congestion, sore throats, and headaches and really tired.

I’m glad your acute symptoms are mild but Covid is a vascular illness and there’s nothing mild about its long-term effects. Please isolate until you’re testing negative- 2 tests 48 hours apart. Also please rest for the next several weeks to try to avoid long covid - trust me, you do not want it! Mask anytime you leave the house - the effects of the virus can be cumulative, so you’ll want to avoid catching it again. Thank you for testing for it and making an effort not to spread it further!

It’s not weaker than the original strain. It’s maybe weaker than Delta. News and government ran with one preprint study saying Omicron was milder than Delta because infectiousness of Omicron was so bad that airlines couldn’t function with quarantine requirements. More people still die from covid than flu and long covid numbers keep rising with reinfections. Long covid is devastating
