20 yrs ago I was a server at a chain restaurant and a guest found a nut 🔩 and bolt in there pasta. The manager told me to offer 20% of the check. I said ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Said if you don’t comp everything and give them at least a $100 gift card I quit and I’m reporting you and the restaurant to EVERYONE. He did and tried to write me up. I laughed the table laughed and left me a $100 tip and never got written up. I also reported him.

I legit CANNOT figure out a scenario where this happens. See people are talking about being shocked a stapler was on the line but these were a bunch of staples still stuck together like they are when they come out of the box. It's going to come out that someone did this on purpose, it's got to be. 😳😳😳

I once had a giant glass shard in a shot glass with tequila. When I told the server he seriously asked what he was supposed to do, if I wanted a new shot. Nooo, I like my Tequila crunchy 🙄

Waitress at Texas Roadhouse noticed our food was taking too long and wasn’t aware of a food receipt jam in the back. Took care of family of 4 whole meal, so I tipped her the entire cost of the meal. Hope that staple manager gets dealt with

Many years ago we were at Pizza Hut and my mother bit into a slice of pizza and it had a commercial staple in it. They did comp our meal. Said the staple probably came from a box of cheese.

As a former OTR Trainer for new store openings for TR, I can tell you, this is not the norm. Most Operating partners are so quick to accommodate complaints it's not even funny. This was a bad apple in the bunch.

I just got back from a Disney cruise. I have a shellfish allergy. My waiter fell ill & someone filled in & didn’t realize the pasta he gave me was squid ink. I didn’t eat it thankfully, I just told him it seemed not right & asked him to check with the chef. They were mortified. Meals are included so couldn’t comp it obviously. But the next morning, my host was at my room at 8 AM with a complimentary spa gc for anything I wanted. That was probably a $400 gift & I didn’t even eat the food or complained. That’s how you handle it before it IS an issue.

I almost choked on a piece of plastic bag in my mashed potatoes at Dennys in my late teens early 20’s. The wait staff laughed and refused to do or offer anything. I was so upset and freaked out I couldn’t eat my food. I was young and didn’t know I could reach out to upper management or sue. Now I’m 43 and struggling with all you guys paycheck to paycheck, probably could have gotten a little payday to use for college 😒

I knew you'd do a post about this! Absolutely vile how that family were treated and even worse A 6 YEAR OLD CHILD!! The absolute horror of what could of happend is just insane! I truely hope they got rid of that so-called manager and upped the refresh on training!!
