I think the saddest part of PunPun’s ending, is that we see another group of young boys heading down the same path; that PunPun and his friends started on at the beginning of the story. Which to me, symbolizes that PunPun’s story could happen to anyone; we may discover the darker side of life but we have to learn healthy ways to manage and explore that dark side. I lowkey think that PunPun is representative of the Reader, a vessel to show that anyone can fall into the depths of depravity like PunPun
