Panda Express is 1000% chinese food idc what anyone says 😭 cultural food made by the diaspora in a foreign country is just as cultural as food from their home country. even if it's made for foreign tastes, it's still made with the ingenuity, thought, and care of those that come from that certain culture.

Panda Express founders are actually Chinese/Brurmese and were a small business before they started franchising. It’s still a family business, where as Taco Bell was founded by a white person who took the Mexican taco idea and exploited that

If you’ve ever been to China, you’ve likely run into food of lower quality than Panda Express. You also run into western food tailored for local taste buds. PE isn’t authentic, but it’s nothing to be ashamed about either.

if you go to ANY Panda Express they literally have their history on their walls. Their authentic chinese restaurants (which are still open) are called The Panda Inn, whereas their Panda Express restaurants (which started in the Glendale Galleria) were created to be americanized chinese fast-food.
