Idk how people do this. My parents had been taking me and my sister to restaurants since we were 6 & 4. When the waiter came everything was put down and we had to look at them. When food and drink came you raised your hand and then said thank you. Stack your dishes and organize when you’re done and wipe your after pushing in your seat.

i one time had a table w 4-5 little kids and the moms were ordering like “ok so kate’s gonna have this allys having this” i was ????? i don’t know your kids lady like just point or give a list of items and u can figure it out later

When my larger family gets together they tend to do shit like this, I’ve stood up & hollered down the table “if you don’t pay attention you’re getting any plate that’s put in front of you”. They get it now. Took a couple years (we don’t get together & go out often), but they get it.

I turn into a 1920s gentleman when the server appears with food. “The lady had the ribeye, this lady had the well-done burger, this other lady had the medium burger…” (I too am a lady)

I made reservations (not a part of my actual job) for a work lunch (15 people) and EVERYONE over 55 y.o did this. Half a glass of beer/wine and none if them knew what they ordered. It was also a tapas style place so everyone ordered 5-7 dishes each 🤦🏻♀️I never made reservations again.
