What about getting some kind of protective layer over it? Like a plexiglass situation but not quite plexiglass. Or an epoxy? Idk I’m just talking.

Would it be possible to do a thin layer of clear epoxy to protect the tile and grout? It would seal everything in and if there was ever any damage or scratches, it’s a simple buff and resurface.

I would definitely cover this in epoxy. my mother in law did something similar on her half bathroom floor and she covered it because they aren't asking their guests to take their shoes off. It's held up beautifully over the years.
