When I started going through my divorce my friends and random women started feeling comfy complaining and admitting they hated their husbands. So many women have just settled. I just want sleepovers with my friends tbh.

I got divorced 7 years ago and I feel bad for all my married friends. Their husbands are either cheating, using constant weaponized incompetence, or just letting their wives do it all and meanwhile they’re like “you’ll find a good man.” I’m like YOU don’t even have a good man.

I really loved my husband and really loved being married and we were best friends for so long but unless you have all the tools to not hold on to resentment over useless things and have luck and good family and and and it’s very hard to be consistently happy in a marriage

I’m living my fairytale dream after I divorced my ex husband (12yrs ago now) and was blessed to find the love of my life (once I prioritized my own emotional health and becoming independently confident/self-sufficient) when I intentionally took the time to rebuild my relationship with myself, I was able to focus on discovering who I was again, which eventually resulted in finding someone who shares the same appreciation as me, for things like art for example. I had been getting in my own way before, trying to fit the mold of “______’s wife” instead of forming my own mold. Once I knew who I was and embraced the woman I had become on my own, I was more open/receptive to the idea of a new relationship with a man who has actually been a loving, supportive partner for the last 10yrs. And we have no plans to ever get married. But we are still completely committed to this relationship with each other and I’ve never been happier. 🙏🏼

As a nail tech, my clients are all women, and they tell me things. I swear a lot of them treat me like their therapist. Out of roughly 120 clients, I can think of maybe 2 who seem happily married/cohabitating. The rest are dealing with emotional (and sometimes physical) abuse and control, reckless spending from their partners, weaponized incompetence, being cheated on, zero help with housework and just straight up contempt/hatred/cruelty directed at them from these men. My own husband became abusive after he had me trapped with a ring and a lease. It's not a fairytale, we've been fed lies.

Very true! I love this video so much. I remember a lady replied to my comment on a video & she told me how come Disney movies never show the after life of the romance movies especially the princess ones and I was like hmmm 🤔 YEAHH! That changed my view so much 😂💯

I’m sure some happy marriages exist but I haven’t personally seen one in my real life circle. A lot of it is staying together out of obligation or convenience, like for the kids or because it is less complicated than splitting up and dividing assets or starting over. It’s an image.
