I don’t think she’s saying that she wears blue contacts, just that she wears contacts and guy was commenting about her eyes because they are blue. Not a big deal, just my observation. But I find it interesting that in a time of so much trauma she lovingly recalls how the guy was complementing her eyes. She is such a narcissist!
