nice to have, we got em too. but if the windows ain't bullet proof🤷🏿♂️. we started training to use the pillars as cover. rear of vehicle, using the whole vehicle as cover on felony stops. a way, not the way.

We have so many departments where deputies have to buy Level IV plates and ballistic helmets from us, but there are actually grants for that if people need them

Back when I lived in Florida a local PD got a bunch of the Ford Interceptor Sedans with wild door armor. Just going off the weight of the doors it felt like steel or maybe ceramic lining so likely rifle rated.
