I have a question. the zombies have been hitting the side blocks, is it because I have a door behind leading to the bars inside the base? Also, if I upgrade the surrounding blocks, let's say, to steel and the poles to concrete would I have been doing it right?

I tried this tonight and had an issue with the zombies laying on the floor and attacking the bottom bar. I got wrecked by the day 7 hoard because they rushed me after breaking it 🤣

Go into the catwalk/stairs section and use the Bars. You can stack them on top of eachother to reenforce each set. You just have to flip it. You can also shoot through them. I would layer 4 bars on top of each other. Make sure you have the material to already upgrade them. They are unstoppable.
