caulking the bottom if any water gets in there it will sit in there u should consider leaving some gaps for water drainage

Hardi needs a 1/8” spacing from adjoining surfaces friend. The caulking should fill into the gaps, not just cover. Untooled caulking shrinks and fails prematurely. Use your finger to press it in and it’ll adhere better and last longer.

Caulking isn't supposed to look like a nice weld. It's supposed to look like nothing once it's painted.

never caulk under the window trim if water gets behind the window there's nowhere for the water to go and it wrote out everything
