My employer tried that with me. I told them that if they won’t disclose who complained, then they need to give me documentation about why it is needed and how it is their business and it will be reviewed by my attorney before release.

Years ago, a friend at work was talking about going to Tony and Tina's wedding. An employee that I managed went to HR in tears because she wasn't invited to "my" wedding. I get called to HR to explain. HR manager was in tears from laughing so hard when I explained that the other coworker was talking about the play!!! I wasn't even dating anyone. 😂😂
