I told an older Pakistani woman who worked at my job that I converted 20 years ago. She would ask me questions like I just took my shahada yesterday. I had to tell her I’ve lived abroad in a Muslim country and made umrah 3 times. She asked me did I know how many raka’ah was in each salah 😂.

As a Muslim girl. My advice to you is muslims are people with different behaviors and manners. NO ONE can say muslims are all good people because that's not true. You keep your faith ISLAM. PEOPLE are people no matter what religion or no religion

Babe we Somalis are also black and we face racism but I understand that the black reverts face extreme racism from the Muslim community and believe me it’s not just in America because I live in the U.K. and I hear it so much over here as well.

As a black American Muslim, I’m asking what do you want from non-black Muslims? Like this is my shit. My country. It’s no way anyone from a third world country or any other country can get me off my square in my home, Muslim or other wise.

There is definitely racism and colorism about within the culture and people of the religion because me and my cousin are mixed. Our dads are both Arab and culturally Muslim but my dad married a white woman and her dad married a black woman and the difference in treatment growing up was noticeable from my grandma. And what’s crazy is now that my cousin has lost some of the color to her skin and straightens her hair my grandma is much nicer to her.

Thats crazy i didnt know about this Im sudanese but i grew up in America one of my dads best friend is a black american revert hes coming to visit this month but 100% a lot of weird racism of all kinds in the muslim.
