Thanks for sharing with us, James. This is was a major choice you had to make, and I completely back you on it. You did what you believed was right to do, and for honorable reasons. Having been through trials of many different kinds, I personally know that God can use anything for his purposes - including River and his situation. I love what it says in the Bible, Romans 8:28: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose". Your belief and faith in what God can do for your son is powerful. I see too that you trust Him as well, no matter what the circumstances look like in the moment. That's the kind of faith that moves mountains. I'm going to really remember River in my prayers, and ask that God's will be done in your life as well as Rivers. I don't know if you are a born again believer, but I am going to pray for you and River just the same. Our God is a God who sees, and his love is mighty. Even when we don't understand why there is such awful suffering in the world, we have to remember that Jesus suffered mightily for us as well. He knows what pain and injustice feels like and he loves us anyway. Sorry this got kinda long, I just want you to know you have a friend in me and that I will be praying for your son. 💙
