@nzstuff: Cameras have captured the moment a drunk pensioner drove her 4WD through a bike shelter at a Waiheke Island ferry terminal and flew into the sea.⁠ ⁠ Auckland Transport CCTV footage of the incident shows the 4WD crossing in front of a bus and over a footpath at speed and straight through the shelter.⁠ ⁠ Glass and metal can be seen flying everywhere, as the car barrels through.⁠ ⁠ “Fortunately, the sole occupant of the vehicle was able to climb out of the vehicle and was helped by the public to safety," said Waiheke Station sergeant Ray Matthews.⁠ #auckland #nz #nzstuff #cctv
