You were being kind and I suppose that’s for labor. Parts alone could be at least 400.

Good that you helping people out and hustling. But just remember cheap jobs attract cheap costumers those are the worst, know your worth and stay competitive. You want to have a good clientele not pocket changer. 💪👌

I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I got a diagnosis for my car overheating. They wanted to charge me $1,700 with labor. The repair shop stated that I need a high pressure AC hose and fan. They also stated Jeeps only have one fan which cools both the engine and and....blah blah... Is this price reasonable?

Something I struggled with for a long time.. Price per job not per hour. The customer is paying for the outcome not the time it takes. Your knowledge and experience is valuable especially when you provide good reliable service. Is that $400 just labor or parts as well? If it’s including parts you’re leaving a lot of money on the table. You have overhead to cover. I use book time to estimate prices and don’t list how many hours on the invoice. So instead of 2.2 hrs at $110 I’ll just like quantity 1 cost $220. Dont undersell you services. Great job helping them out!
