controversial opinion but a big reason why i despise bakudeku is because the shippers tend to water down bakugou’s character to only revolve around deku and completely ignore any of his character development outside of his rivalry with deku, they tend to ignore his friendship with kirishima, kaminari, sero and mina, they don’t acknowledge how his childhood and the constant praise is the reason why he is the way he is, they constantly tie his superiority/inferiority complex and insecurities to just deku when he is shown to feel the same kind of inferior feeling to todoroki (and they ignore his entire character arc with todoroki and the sports festival), i love bakugou sm but i absolutely hate when the fandom acts like he doesn’t have any development outside of deku

and he started being kinder once he got into ua bc for the first time in his life he wasnt automatically the strongest, all around him were ppl who deserved to stand next to him, and while he was strong, beeing strong isn't all there is to being a hero and hee had to learn that himself alongside his freinds and classmates, hee bettered himself bc he finally realized that his idea of a hero wasnt a ture one and he wanted to dearly to be a true hero

THISSSS. That's why he was so insecure. If a person with no quirk can be better than him, doesn't that mean that no matter how much he pushes himself it will never enough? What else does he need then, he has the talent and discipline to work. Even so, nobody sees him as a hero. He damages and hurts and realises how flawed he is. His self worth staggering on the tip of a needle. So strong on the outside, yet so frail on the inside. I belive that is why Hori made his heart be the one that caused his death, his weakest part has always been his demise.
