both my kids will be traveling abroad either school groups this summer. these are educational trips and unique experiences we saved up to be able to afford. now we have to save even more so my kids can have a trinket to remember???

Wait what, i thought that the repealed de minimis exemption applies only to shipped or mailed items, not to personal purchases you physically bring home after traveling. That’s ridiculous

Like. I’m living in the UK. Have been for 3 years. Looking for a job abroad but my visas running out. So. If I have to move back. How do I differentiate between what I bought abroad and in the US?? How do they know? How do I know?

I just want to say we did not even get stopped by or have to go through customs yesterday so I didn’t pay anything :) We were actually kind of shocked at the process. They didn’t even scan our passports, just took a picture of us and then we got our baggage and left
