@_motivictory_: Yes, I Have Billions… But I Earned It - Starbucks CEO Faces the Senate In a powerful exchange during the 2024 Senate hearing, the Starbucks CEO was pressed multiple times about being a billionaire. His response? Raw and unapologetic: “My parents never owned a home. I came from nothing. I thought my entire life was based on the achievement of the American dream. Yes, I have billions of dollars - I earned it, no one gave it to me. And I’ve shared it constantly.” It’s a moment that speaks to ambition, resilience, and the complexity of the American Dream - especially when confronted with criticism at the highest level. This video is an excerpt from the 2024 U.S. Senate hearing with the Starbucks CEO. I agree with the billionaire…. If he earned it cleanly, why the fuss about it?

Get tired of hearing liberals complain about wealthy Americans. They pay far more taxes than normal Americans but yet that’s not enough. This man employs countless individuals all over the country and gives them a “living wage.” What more do you want liberals?

the problem is wages have been stagnant for over a decade while companies hit record profits year over year while goods and services outpace wages. becoming a billionaire in this case is unethical especially when you consider if they had 500mil their lives wouldn't be any different because its such an astronomical amount of money they dont need a billion hoarders all that money is hurting the economy

I agree with the billionaire but you’d think since he grew up poor he would pay his poor employees a better wage to help them better there lives since he knows how it feels since he has more money than he could possibly spend in a lifetime .

He didn't earn it. Nobody earns that much unless u r the founder. Companies pay CEOs way too much for what little impact they have on their business. That has always baffled me.

Pfffft Alright :
There isn’t a problem with being wealthy what’s the problem is paying your employees little to nothing while they maintain YOUR LIFESTYLE. There is no lifestyle change from millionaire to billionaire.

Not for a second do I believe this guy. Billionaires aren’t self made they are born into generational wealth. That’s a billionaire, now has he made millions yes but he had help.

And if he wasn't a billionaire, every single Starbucks employee would be out of work then how happy would they be?

rupak doctor :
The concern is that when starbucks employees are significantly underpaid in comparison to average costs of living, then it makes you think how a billionaire who was once impoverished himself could allow employees of his own company to suffer like he did when he has a means to stop it
