💯Percent agree. I worked and paid taxes for over 45 years. Yet I still have taxes taken out of my Social Security check. I pay property taxes to the County, School District, and City where I live. Still have to pay a premium every month out of my Social Security check for Medicare, even though I paid into Medicare out of my weekly pay check, when I worked and wasn't on Medicare. And of course sales tax. After all the taxes, not a lot left to buy groceries, buy medication, and pay the bills, phone, insurance, electricity for lights A/C in the summer, and gas to heat the house in winter. At some point, 65 years old, at least by 70 years old. And If you are just living on a fixed income of Social Security. You have paid your dues in Taxes. Should be able live out your remaining years with a little help from the government. Not taxed to the grave.
