Discussion is necessary for us to move forward in union, as we all need to know what our common goal is. From what I've seen a lot of the recent discourse, mostly around Chorus or Newsom, has stemmed from one fundamental disagreement between two distinct sides of the left. The progressive side of the Democrats has become disillusioned with leadership after being set back in politics to appeal to the middle for years. After Trump's recent wins despite their concessions, they knew their outlook was a strong counter to what Trump had offered us, but felt that the leaders of the democrats were still refusing to support them. Through refusing to properly endorse progressive candidates, along with a history of making it difficult for them to reach a national office, weak leadership on issues such as the budget bill, refusal to create policy in line with the majority of democrats disapproving of Israel's actions, and a heavy reliance on the foreign PAC, AIPAC, being brought to deaf ears. All of these are factors I've noticed, but the straw will vary from person to person. But it all leads to a lack of trust in the leadership of the Democratic party as the ones who can see us through this, an issue that allows small matters like Newsom or Chorus to light a fire in us, because they are only irritating a divide that already existed. while I do have a side I take on this I link to keep it boiled to the issue of Democratic Leadership, because until we figure it out we can never move forward in unity in my opinion. as someone willing to have a discussion, I hope ive been able to present these points in a concise enough way to help foster healthy dialouge

We don't need to be all focused on the same projects...just the same end goal. We actually need diversity in what projects are being done.
