Worked as a teller in an "upscale" neighbourhood. There was a woman who came in multiple times a week to deposit ~$9500 in cash. At $10 000 you have to sign a declaration that the cash is not the proceeds of crime. But ~$9500 several times a week? Not a problem!

We’ve had the same bank account for NINE YEARS. My husband switched employers and they did the first check as a paper check. We were told it was completely fine over the phone yet when we deposited it they said they’d be holding it for 5-15 days. My husband had been unemployed for over a month at that point. I wanted to scream. 😂

I've had very friendly "poor looking" people come take $1000-$2000 out once a week. gave them the benefit of the doubt. turns out, they had illegally gotten access to their trust fund and drained $180k that way before the lawyer even noticed.

Short version of a long story, I am not rich. But I had some cash that I needed to deposit into the bank, and I wanted to do it in person, and it was a Saturday. The same day, I was going to be in a different town watching a friend's child play sports. I was there at like 7am, so before the bank opened..and watched one game and then there was a couple games of other teams before more games being played by the friends child was to play again. So basically, I had from about a little after 8 am until like 1030 or so free time. Bank didn't open until 9, so I went and sat in their parking lot and I ended up taking a nap from about 830 until 945- I got woken up to the cops knocking on my window giving me 500 questions as to why I was there. The bank was scared I was there to rob the place, so they called the cops on me. Yeah, I decided to park right in front and take a nap before robbing the place, apparently. Geez.

I can’t even laugh because I’ve been both people. Being homeless cost me the most money ever, but being rich now is honestly so cheap. My credit card company literally pays me roughly $400 a month to use their card… just one of the many perks I have now.

My mom wrote me a $100 check so I could get my hair done for prom when I was 18 and she was out of town for work. My bank questioned me like they were the FBI and I was a criminal.

Sorry but banks should ONLY be handing out loans to people with less income, if you make over a certain amount you should be disqualified from a loan because you can pay for it yourself
