I run a visitor center and had a lady stop in yesterday and thank me for having ink pads there (keep a collection of animal stamps for kids to use) because she had taken an impression at one of the scenic overlooks. Told us about the TikTok inspo and her journal. 10/10 interaction.

I saw a girl doing that and I said watch out if y’all try this cause you may be leaving an oil stain on the antique/ancient surfaces you’re stamping and she blocked me but anyway heed my warning all ye stampers

I saw somebody once to do something similar, where they painted manhole covers and made T-shirts out of them by printing the T-shirt on the manhole cover paint. I thought that was amazing. Great souvenir.

I remember going to Europe in the 70’s and doing graphite rubs with paper on old grave stones. This is like the modern version of that.

I do this too! I was also inspired by someone on TikTok but they used kneaded erasers which is what I use but honestly I think sculpey would be much more pliable. I’ll have to try this.
