@chattegeorgiana: 9 years ago today, Naruto Shippuden episode 474 aired. It marked the end of the war, Naruto’s birthday and the last time Naruto and Minato saw each other. However, this episode showed us more than that. It showed us why Naruto Uzumaki deserved to have ALL HIS DREAMS come true, yet the narrative made him give up one of this dreams & not fulfill one of this promises to his mother, Kushina Uzumaki: that in which he’ll find a girl like him. What a sad day for Naruto as a character, really. Because he DID DESERVE Sakura Haruno’s love, as he FOUGHT for it while respecting her boundaries. On the other hand, Sakura too DESERVED NARUTO UZUMAKI. Yes, I’ve said it: NaruSaku DESERVED TO BE WITH EACH OTHER. Were they perfect? No. Nobody is. But there’s no couple in the ENTIRE STORY who had so much development the way they did: they went through everything together: laughter, joy, sadness, crying, the good, the bad, the ugly. But no matter what, they stood by each other and supported each other. They offered each other ACTIVE support! Not passive, from the sidelines. No. Real. Active. Support. Naruto Uzumaki deserved the world. And his world included Sakura Haruno. Sakura Haruno deserved to be lifted to the Heavens by a love so big and pure, one that saw her and appreciated her for the way she was. With good and bad. Positives and negatives. And that person was Naruto Uzumaki. Naruto Uzumaki & Sakura Haruno deserved each other. Deserved to be together.
