@shesfuntho2: ✨@shesfuntho | backup This is not to say that every negative side effect comes from improper dosing , but I have heard two instances LATELY about people being ‘put on’ by their primary a level I would never recommend as a lay person. I don’t mean to sound like I am completely anti-medical establishment, but it has just not been giving IN THIS SPACE…I am thankful for a functional practitioner that really encouraged me in so many ways and had a philosophy of low and slow on just about any therapy we looked at , and was humble enough to be willing to educate me, as well as was interested and concerned with my experience and those of others. of course I am no expert, I have just been on a GLP for three years and consumed so many experiences from so many people-this is not medical advice, but for education only.❤️ #g#glp1community#g#glp1tips

I’ve had almost no negative side effects, but i also had 6 months of healthy dieting and exercise before starting. I was down 20lbs and stalling, dropped another 25 in two months easily with tirz. Lowest dose too.

It’s no reason to move up in dose if it works. I understand the trails did it a certain way but if I can be on 2.5 for 5+ months and still lose 1-4lbs a week, there is NO reason I should move up just because. I’m already proven low dose is working amazing for me

I agree! When I was on wegovy, I had horrible side effects when I got up on the 1mg dose. I had no support from my dr. They just told me to discontinue the medication.

One question, has it ever happened to you that when you increase the dose of tirzepatide, instead of feeling more appetite suppression, it feels like more food noise is coming through? Or is it just me... or maybe the product isn't as potent? Is this normal?

Yup, this happened to me. Old doctor started me off on Wegovys middle box, was super sick, broke out in hives and he told me I was eating wrong. Switched doctors

I think some people also have such a poor diet that they feel terrible the first few weeks.

My doctor told me about a patient she had that ended up in the hospital. It was because he was having side effects that he didn't tell her about & he went up a dose earlier than she recommended

That’s wild and so unfortunate. My doctor has been a saint and expressed low and slow from day 1. She said we’re not going up until it’s not working. 11 weeks at 2.5mg and down 37lb, and I have no plan on going up any time soon. I’m sooo grateful for that. 💗💗💗

Tele health PA’s seem to be more educated than your average PCP on GLP-1. My pcp didn’t feel comfortable prescribing it wanted my bariatric clinic to. I did telehealth while I was waiting to be seen by them. Now with new insurance no coverage I started research grade. Sometimes you need to do your own research even getting from your own doc.

You were supposed to start out at a low dose so your body can adjust and you will suffer fewer side effects. If you start out at a high dose you're going to feel so sick!
