@mamastefit: Dilation is just a moment in time and does not predict when birth will happen! The external cues tell me more, and sometimes dilation doesn’t always line up with that! True story: recently someone was clearly displaying all the signs of transition in labor and we checked her thinking it would help motivate her…but she was 7cm but only 2 hours later she was holding her baby in her arms!! Looking for the external cues of ❤️Temperament change in between contractions of being in labor land ❤️contractions closer together and moderate/strong in intensity ❤️needing support both emotionally and physically during contractions ❤️becoming more vocal during contractions (sometimes) ❤️feeling increased pressure during contractions but not in between
