@chasiseverything: Dreams do come true. I am officially a U.S. citizen 🇺🇸✨. Earlier this year, I reached a turning point in my journey — I was sworn in as a citizen of the United States. This milestone is more than a legal status. It reflects years of perseverance, sacrifice, and faith in the opportunities this country makes possible. When I first arrived from Nigeria, I carried little more than hope and determination. I left behind the comfort of home in search of new doors to open — not just for myself, but for those who will come after me. For my family and community, the idea of the “American Dream” has always been about more than possibility — it has been about opening doors. Education was the key that transformed long nights and hard work into opportunities that could shape our future. This achievement is shared. It belongs to my husband Saheed Adepoju who encouraged me, to my community that stood beside me, and to every immigrant who takes the bold step of starting over in pursuit of something greater.
