I did heavy landscaping material and covered it with pea gravel! Such a lifesaver. You will love it. 🙌🏼

If you have a limestone quarry close by, try a 1/2” clean limestone chips vs pea gravel. The limestone will settle better and is much easier to walk on. Pea gravel is round and will be kinda like walking in loose sand.

Put hardware cloth down in the new beds. I’ve heard it helps with moles.

I have pea gravel and heavy ROOF SHINGLES..and my friend.. weeds.. yes I do. The fabric just doesn’t do it. Nuttin really does.. but.. I’m thinking.. wood chips. ???I’m not removing the gravel but.. somehow I’ll share.. Anne of all trades.. she’s on tic & insta..

I used mulch. Really heavy layer of mulch. And at the end of the year, I pull back the mulch and I take the new soil at the bottom and I put that in the garden and then I refreshed the mulch. I have very few weeds.
