@ocbannerdrop4palestine: So we did a thing during rush hour on Friday before Labor Day weekend. We collaborated with dozens of organizations in 3 states to drop banners off the 5 freeway with the message to #boycottchevron because #chevronfuelsgenocide. The bridge we bannered here in OC crosses the 5 diagonally so it’s longggg. We were able to put 5 banners on the side that traffic was backed up the most. We put 4 on the other side which got the sunlight directly on it, so as the sun went down, they just kept getting more visible. One guy was harassing us immediately and we hadn’t even got the banners up yet. 🙄. We just went about our work, ignoring him. He kept getting on his phone calling his friends and told us they were gonna come take the banners down. They never came. Only more comrades. ***Seattle Chevron BDS said some people stopped by and asked them about Chevron because they were driving up from Oregon and kept seeing these banners! HELL YES.
