People are so consumer brainwashed by corporations. No consumer should required to pay gratuity its should be optional. Gratuity is a scam for us to pay corporations employees salary.

You didn’t know that before you cruised it’s $16 a day per person or 18 if you’re in a suite and those people work very hard for their money they deserve every bit of it. You can always pre-pay your cruise tip when you book your cruise.

I really don’t understand why you are shocked. For ppl that cancel gratuity they should cancel getting your room cleaned, cancel interaction in the dining room and cancel any other services that is paid out of your stay.
