the manufacturer should have insurance too, and if the issue is stability then 100% that should sit with the manufacturer rather than the brand

I think it’s a slippery slope, like you wouldn’t necessarily expect a big pharma ceo to be a world renowned chemist bc at the end of the day it’s a business and someone who’s good at business should be running the company. The onus should always be put on the regulatory bodies keeping companies in check. Even in UV’s case of lean screen, they were part of Mecca when they launched their sunscreens, so you’d think they would have thorough experience. Unfortunately they were blindsided by PCR and wild child, thinking they were doing everything correctly according to the TGA.
