I worked for UA. Their buddy passes are explicit in attire. You’re essentially representing the airline as the passes you get are from an employee with their employee numbers. When you fly free, as a rep for the airline, stringent rules apply.

My step-father was pilot and we always had to dress appropriately. Leggings are not part of the dress code. They knew better, just chose to disregard.

Leggings are appropriate for working out at a gym or outside, or if they are covered by a dress or long tunic. That’s it. They look tacky at best and horrible on most!

my Gpa worked for AA & we flew on family tickets. there is a dress code for those tickets. I was made to cover my shoulders when I had a sundress on once. know the rules.
