She wanted the boyfriend. That’s what I think. Why else would she find the other girlfriend after him and Lauryn broke up and harass them? She was obsessed with Owen. Not negating anything you’re saying as well, my mom was just a straight up narcissist. But, that’s my theory!

my mother is a narcissist and I could immediately see it in this mother. she wouldn't be embarrassed to do this documentary because she really believes everyone would believe her excuses for what she did. it took my being in my mid 50's to break away from my mother

My mom finally when to therapy and she still slips into her old ways. All I say is "it seems it's time to schedule another appointment with your therapist" and that usually snaps her out of it. I whole heartily believe narcissist never fully change, they just get better at masking.
