The grand canyon of the east is Letchworth state park near Rochester, NY. Ausable Chasm is great too, but you'll have to make a trip out to Letchworth some time.

You need to plan a fall foliage tour. All around new England up to Quebec City in Canada and over to western Pennsylvania and NY state. Incredible.

Every state has a Grand Canyon it seems. PA’s is Pine Creek Gorge. 47 miles long and max depth of 1,450 feet.
