When you return from any trip especially a cruise unpack your bags outside and put your clothes in plastic bags before washing them and throw the luggage away. Bedbugs hide in crevices and you can bring them home.

The CDC is no longer inspecting cruise ships because of the trump administration cuts. So I will not be cruising any time soon.💯

Yall saying because of this you’re never going on a cruise?? You do know you can pick them up in a hotel, at work, the store, somebody house, the list goes on and on. Someone definitely bought it from home, you just have to take precautions wherever you go.

I went on sunrise and had the best experience. However, that was like my 9th cruise. Anyone can bring bed bugs on the boat. It doesn’t mean they actually came from the ship. Nasty people on the ship create problems.

This year we went on the Horizon my friend and I had the same problem however Carnival took care of us. we got everything sanitized and cleaned a new room. plus more

I’ve gotten bit on a Norwegian cruise before, they couldn’t change my cabin cause there were none available, so someone came to spray. Haven’t been back on that one since. They did nothing for me.

I “wish” that undercarriage on planes would have something to kill all bed bugs as you travel, for ship all luggage go in a room area to zap them before entering the ship! A precaution!

🚫 Unfortunately the same thing happened to me! That's life sometimes. They took care of it, no hard feelings! It could happen at any hotel regardless of its location. Changed cabins & enjoyed myself. Nothing came home with me.

the sad part about this as much as I would love to blaim carnival but that honestly could have came from the family that was just on the ship in that cabin they probably had a ton and brought them on vacation.. this is something I learned they can be found in 5 star too if a rich person had them.. note for next trip remove sheets when you first check in and call front desk to request new sheets and spray down the mattress with bedbug spray.. you will need steam out your luggage or trash it

I had bedbugs in my house. Unfortunately, my deceased husband's mother had them extremely badly and they were brought to our house. What I did was throw out the furniture, mattresses and placed all clothes in those 2 rooms in the dryer at a high heat for 1hr. Also, I turned the house thermostat to 95° along with placing space heaters in the affected 2 rooms for 3 consecutive days. The heat killed all the bedbugs.
