I went to Madrid 2 weeks ago and after one day flew to Alicante and got the bus to Benidorm for the week instead because there was nothing to do there. Much more fun, cheaper, great beach, clean streets and plenty of options when it comes to food. Don’t understand the hate at all.

I’m an anthropologist who studies the impacts of mass tourism on local cultures, so going to Benidorm was absolutely FASCINATING for me, I found it so interesting, I genuinely had an incredible time 😂 I want to go again, I loved it, I find it all so interesting

Did you not go to the old town? I was there last week and it is full of Spanish in August. Great tapas and Italian restaurants there.

Rays Chippy is a legend if you are in Beni go there. First went in 82 been there every year since prefer the old town site
