You buy ORGANIC COLD PRESSED EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil from “the sacred place in Italy,” only to realize months later that 90% of your gut issues were actually stress-related — because you didn’t know how to cope with your negative thoughts and get out of the cycle:   Symptoms→ negative thoughts → anxiety → more symptoms. Yes, you will go through an elimination phase at first — not to restrict forever, but to help you identify your personal triggers, learn how to choose better food options within your budget, and eat from a place of self-care, not fear. The goal is to get to a place where you can eat a wide variety of foods — different colors, textures, even cheese, yogurt, and a slice of sourdough with butter in the morning if you feel like it. Cuz why not? (Of course, unless you have a severe intolerance, allergy, or autoimmune condition where things are different). But even then, from my own experience and working with people, I believe you CAN absolutely get to a place where you eat the foods that trigger you right now — and feel completely fine. I used to be triggered by dairy, gluten, even meat and broccoli. Now? I eat them and feel completely fine. I’m sharing this to encourage you to keep putting in the work and trust the process. It won’t happen overnight — but it will happen 🤍 Other people should inspire you, not intimidate you. You’re no different than them.
