balaclava fog just as much as a neck gaiters. fog: use antifog on your goggles. sick: wash your face gear

I got a Rothco bala with the mouth opening for snacks and bevvies. also covering your mouth will trap moisture in your mask. breathing in that moisture is what's getting you sick.

Theres a company called airhole, they make balaclavas with holes for your mouth, so you dont get that freeze when its really cold. fits great too
