He shouldn’t have resigned. They’re still gonna go after him, it’s Alaska. Does he have any legal claim?

James J Quinter :
Do you know his history? He was a cop in Louisiana for 17 years and was fired for doing the same type of thing.

lawful arrest. lawful use of force and I'm willing to bet it's within policy. They'd have to fire me so I could sue.

UOF seemed reasonable. If the city is not backing its police it’s time to move on. I don’t think he should have resigned

Officer Tom :
So many officers have no fight left in them. I know so many that are counting down the time until they can retire because of the lack of support they received from their agency, city, or Town. This is the reason that five people show up for an application process that used to draw 500.

Who can blame him for resigning These guys put their lives on the line for our safety and then in return For doing their job they're criticized and told how horrible they are

Typical...Admin circles the wagons, cuts this guy loose and the theme is deny, deny, deny...No, we never trained the officer to do THAT...Where have we heard this before? This just empowers people to be bigger 💩bags

If the arrest is lawful then the use of force here is lawful.

…. And people wonder why they can’t find cops to work in Alaska, and have to pay out crazy bonuses.

this is clearly the administration just pandering to current loudmouths that say essentially "he dindu nuffin, he was a good boy" every single time a criminal gets deleted or just temporarily removed from society

This is why cops are afraid to go hands on. The dept. wants you to release the guy and taze him. Better optics but tacticaly stupid. We need to back out people. Ridiculous.
