bipolar diagnosed at 15. ocd 18. CPTSD and adhd at 31. the bipolar diagnosis never worked with any combo of meds. leaving a toxic family and ex did.

Bipolar is so overdiagnosed in women. I know so many women who had a bipolar diagnoses to later find out it was something else.

I got diagnosed as bipolar type 2 and developed vertigo out of nowhere, got dumped because he "couldn't handle my diagnosis", he left, and suddenly all of my symptoms went away. 🙃

last relationship: put on heavy black box labeled anti-psychotics for rapid cycling bi-polar disorder type 1. I left, and all of the sudden no symptoms, no meds this relationship- no pills needed, pretty calm besides my job. fucking wild.

eyyyy this happened to me too, I was diagnosed bipolar at 14, PTSD at 22 after I moved out. I never even had traditional bipolar symptoms, they just diagnosed me based on family history

Bipolar is overdiagnosed. Luckily mine was confirmed through genetic testing / family history among a roster of other things. But these psych clinics really need to pump the breaks at haphazardly slapping this diagnosis on people before putting the work in to verify.

Hear you. Developed an allergy to nuts, confirmed with blood and skin patch testing. 6 months after the break up the allergies literally all went away
