My grandparents house. 6-7am. The smell of Coffee being brewed. Or burnt rather. My grandmother would make a fresh pot and then microwave her cup so it was scalding hot. Always remember the faint sound of cooking and talking.

I was adopted and abused and never experienced this but one time. it wasn't even a family member it was a friends parent. even as an adult I've never felt this type of security again. I deal with SI frequently and man, I just want some moments of this kind of peace once in a while 😭

I have my first birthday on vhs. My wife had it converted to DVD. I watched it and when I heard my grandmas and grandpas voice I just balled my eyes out. My mom has passed since I last watched it. Not sure if I can take watching it again.

This hits hard. I try to live my life without anger, without being judgmental or holding a grudge towards anyone. I'm 40 years old and just got baptized. It's never too late. I had a chance when I was 15, but I wasn't ready. I try to do my best every day because I know one day we all will be judged, and I want to make sure when the time comes, I'll be in the presence of the Lord. 🙏
