@darkojaguar: The okapi, (Okapia johnstoni) often called the “forest giraffe,” is a rare and elusive mammal found only in the dense rainforests of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Though it looks like a mix between a zebra and a horse, it is actually the closest living relative of the giraffe. Okapis have a long, dark tongue similar to giraffes that they use to strip leaves and buds from trees. Their velvety brown coats with striking white stripes on the legs provide excellent camouflage in the shadows of the forest.
