That back injury will keep reoccurring. Always have meds on board. We have ramps all over our house for the couches and beds as I have one with a back injury that will come back if she plays too hard.

Highly recommend finding a veterinarian near you that is licensed in performing chiropractic care to dogs. It can do wonders for them!

I have had a slipped disk before and man if it feels anything like it does on a human she probably is hurting :( I hope she recovers quickly!

I have a small breed as well, a mini golden doodle, and he actually got diagnosed with mild IVDD. This happened to him after falling and that’s when he got the x-rays that showed his condition. To help him heal up, I got small stairs for my bed that I can move around to couches, etc. and a soft play pen to keep him in to prevent him from jumping up on anything when I wasn’t home! Hope Bailey heals up well! 🩷

Yes!! My dog had IVDD.. a spinal cord disorder in dogs and cats where the discs between the vertebrae degenerate and rupture. She was unable to walk the last 2 years of her life unless I had her in a sling. …I now have ramps for bed and I pick him dog up..bc I don’t want him to get that.

get her stairs to get on the couch and beds! we have one for my chihuahua because we would get tired of always having to pick her up and put jer on the bed. she’s a healthy little girl but it’s something we’ll continue to use as she gets old

Just watch out for IVDD. It’s very serious. Sounds like my clients pup who now can only walk in a wheelchair. I’d ask your vet if it’s possible for that to be the cause

i have a mini aussie doodle named bailee, he has seizures. vet has never been able to figure out why, it’s so scary!! praying for yalls fur baby💓

I work in veterinary neurology and see this on a daily basis! It may be beneficial to set up a consult with a neurologist in case something else should occur! Definitely prevent over-activity and try your best to not let them jump on and off things!

Pretty common in smaller dogs, especially if they jump up and down from furniture/vehicles. Highly recommend ramps.
