Melatonin has no effect on me no matter the dose so I'm sorry it has a strong effect on you. Wishing you a better night of sleep next time .

lavender/chamomile or any relaxing tea after a good hot Epsom salt bath followed by slathering in lavender or other relaxing scent lotions. Not bipolar but AuDHD and have struggled with sleep my whole life.

My doctor just prescribed a new medication I’m going to try tonight. I’ve tried about five different ones. Ask your doctor about this. https://www.quviviq.com/

oops I missed this post a few mins ago when I replied to a different post & mentioned trying a very small dose of quetiapine (Seroquel), & it didn't occur to me to mention that for me it does cause grogginess in the a.m. but melatonin does too 🤷 & isn't as effective - Seroquel can take 8~12 hours to clear my system after I take it - when I'm desperate for sleep it's worth it though, & my doctor doesn't want me to take Ambien etc bc of being habit forming - gosh it's fun being a walking rx experiment.. 🙄 I'm grateful though
