day 46 (14.6 miles) how is it possible that the days keep getting better and better out here in the sierras?! woke up semi-early and headed down the wrong trail but that was okay because we saw a massive rabbit with the largest ears ive ever seen, bouncing around, looking like it had a case of the zoomies… it was so dog-like! once we got back on trail, not too much later we saw a deep blue lake surrounded by rock and snow. it was too beautiful to pass up so we hiked down, splashed in the water for a bit and then continued up glen’s pass. once we got to the top we met a group of guys who offered us a few shots of the whiskey they brought along so the hike down was entertaining, to say the least. we tried making it up pinchot pass (or at least halfway) before we called it a day but only made it about a mile. we set up camp and since we were below 10,000 ft, we were able to make a fire. surprisingly enough, there was a stone fire pit and dry wood ready and waiting for us when we arrived. we made dinner around the fire and ended the night with some hot chocolate :) ☕️ craving of the day: chix broccoli alfredo🥦 … #pacificcresttrail #woodscreek #sierras #sierranevadas #thruhiking #johnmuirtrail #pctthruhiker #campfire #pinchotpass #lakedip #glenpass #alpinelakes #snowmelt
