Most shows being remade and intros/theme songs being removed or ruined. That was when the switch happened. Even most YouTubers don’t even use intros before a video anymore. Sad times we live in

Look at Avatar: The Last Airbender!! Poor Aang returned to a world he didn’t recognize, one that had moved on without him and was now void of much culture, growth, and peace. It was torn with the cruel aftermath of ethnic cleansing and now lived in fear as the Fire Nation ruled over everyone’s lives. Aang’s entire nationality had been massacred! Katara and Sokka were being raised in a world scarred with sickening grief from relentless raids on their own waterbenders. These 3 protagonists - they’re children, mind you - are forced to defeat seasoned adult enemies with skills many leagues above their own. And going back to Aang, he must master 4 different elements with less than 10 people on the planet who are able/willing to teach him!! He must master these 4 disciplines in just a few months! He is burdened with the loss of his people and the responsibility for having vanished when the innocents of the world needed him most. He knows he must simultaneously right the wrongs of the past and repair the world that still exists, saving it from the looming threat of the malicious Fire Lord Ozai . . . . . . . . . and yet, Aang and his team are kind, compassionate, loving, and strong. They have all the odds stacked against them, yet they fight, they become resilient, wise, and fierce in their abilities. Many of our characters find love, learn patience, trust, maturity, and other lessons of growth. There is clear distinction between good and evil and no matter what adversity they face, they remain pure of heart, their humanity is clear. They learn harsh truths like those of neglect, corruption, jealousy, and death, but they remain strong; they remain bright, optimistic, hopeful, and they heal from their past. The world can’t corrupt them, taint their goodness, or stifle their will to live. They rise above all threats and grow ever closer as a result! This show is the best that has ever been written! Let this be a lesson that anything can be a “kid’s show”, but that is NO excuse to leave out rich world-building, realistic characters with satisfying arcs, gorgeous music, and pristine writing!

yes you guys hit the nail on the coffin like older shows especially Static Shock tackled a number of deeper problems racial problems,gang violence,homelessness,and I think abuse in one of the episodes

Instead of engaging with profound topics, many individuals react defensively, labeling them as too dark or sensitive. Unlike in the past, when media expressed itself without filters, the current climate encourages a more cautious approach to conversation.
