Well, to be fair Russia has had a history of sending their minorities or unwanted people to die in wars, so there is a hint of truth in there. There will always be victims who didn't want any of that on both sides of war. The people making the decisions are usually not the ones who are actually in the middle of it. War is brutal. As a Finn watching what's happening in Ukraine has hit hard. It has also revealed a lot of past trauma and how previous wars still affect the society and people today, even people who weren't even alive back then (including me). Sadly the effects of war don't end when the war does. There will be a lot of rebuilding and not only physically. Don't give up hope. Things will change one day.
