The effective tax rate in the 50s for the top 10% was 30%. Sam is using the 90% rate to confuse you. He knows no one paid that because they had so many more ways to reduce taxable income back then.

Roll corporate taxes back to pre Reagan. If you want a better tax rate you need to invest in your employees (healthcare, contiguous training, 401k, infrastructure and upgrades) do those things and then you get a better tax break

billionaires bennifet more than anyone from infrastructure, the military, and education... Amazon can't ship anything to your house without public infrastructure. Education brings about employee talent. The military protects the safety to do business

If billionaires gave back to society to feed the hungry, house the homeless, etc then I would be fine with them not paying more in taxes. But they don’t. They hoard their money while people live in abject poverty. That is why the govt should tax them more and then use that money to lift up the people that need it most.
